The stories of success in WOSPAC within the program SOCCER Stages, are becoming more frequent and today we want to talk about a case in particular, Xu Xu.
Xu Xu, was born in 1998 in China, where he began playing soccer and emerged as as raising star, which earned him to be signed by the Shandong Luneng, one of the most prestigious schools around the country. In his time at the Shandong Luneng, quickly called the attention of his coaches designating it as one of the most promising Chinese soccer players of his age. This led to Xu Xu in mid-2013 to move to Spain with his family, seeking to continue his training as a footballer in prestigious clubs, to adapt to European football and grow quickly in a professional environment.
He initially did a tryout with Valencia CF , and subsequently came to Barcelona in search of more opportunities. First he made a stay of 3 months with Terrassa FC, but finally the 2013-14 season finished signing by UE Cornellà, thanks to the collaboration agreement that maintain WOSPAC and NAMA Sports with the club of the Baix Llobregat. Which without a doubt is one of the best quarries of Catalonia and Spain, where players like Jordi Alba (FC Barcelona) , Victor Ruiz (Villarreal CF), Keita Baldé (SS Lazio) have been trained.
Xu Xu has been part of the UE Cornellà until this season, where it has undergone a great physical, technical and tactical change that has allowed him to grow as a player and become a very quick and intelligent winger highligthing for its 1 vs 1 and by his control of the ball with both legs.
His enormous progress in UE Cornellà, where he has had the opportunity of playing in the Liga Nacional Juvenil, has earned him the opportunity to sign for RCD Espanyol , being the first player from China getting it.
He also participated in the last edition of the MIC, playing with the youth team of WOSPAC-NAMA, where they faced teams like Sevilla CF, leaving signs of his great talent and not going unnoticed by many of the Scouts who watched the tournament.
