The WOSPAC Teams program, which organizes stays and friendly matches for teams from around the world, received the visit of the Wake Forest University from the State of North Carolina, USA, with its section of soccer, one of the best universities in this field highlighting throughout all of the United States, competing every year in the final phases in the NCAA Championship.
During their stay in Barcelona within the program WOSPAC Teams, Wake Forest players, had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the UE Cornellà and played a friendly match against the U-19 Team of them. The match between the two was very tight and only a goal at the beginning of the match by the American side, was enough to win the match.
Among the players of the Wake Forest University, we would like to highlight the presence of Jon Bakero, son of the former player and FC Barcelona captain José Mari Bakero, who currently plays as a winger in the American side, being one of its most incisive and outstanding players.
On the other hand, the Wake Forest team, also had the opportunity to visit the facilities of FC Barcelona , where they had as guides to two very special guys, José Mari Bakero and Hristo Stoichkov, former player of FC Barcelona and former member of the legendary Dream Team along with Bakero.
We are sure that the Wake Forest players enjoyed an incredible experience thanks to WOSPAC Teams and wish them great success for the future.
