On a cold Monday-morning, the boys of the SOCCER Stages program played a new friendly match against an American football team: The Hill School from Pennsylvania. The game took place at the new head-field of UE Cornellà.
At 8: 15h in the morning the game started with the low temperatura of 3 degrees Celcius. The USA team opened the score very early. After a good game of passing Jason Kyper scored the 1-0 in the 4th minute.
In the following minutes, the international team of Wospac tested the keeper of The Hill School. The first goal of WOSPAC came in the 35th minute. Miraash dribbled perfectly and laid back on Habib. Habib scored the 1-1! WOSPAC was back in the game. This led to the end of the first half.
The second 45 minutes began just like the first half. The Hill school team scored a goal in the first 5 minutes of the second half. Again an early lead for the American team. This time Ryan Wallace scored the goal.
Every single guy of WOSPAC soccer stages, as well the new goal keeper (Paolo Da Costa), tried to re-tie the game. They fought hard but eventually there was no second goal of the Wospac stages team.
Minutes later, the US team scored the third goal, Nico Besselaar was the goalscorer. The team from Sirvent and Morata was unable to turn the game. The unfortunate finishing ensured that WOSPAC not scored a second goal. The Hill School team scored one more time, via Ali Kenneh. He scored the final goal: 1-4.
The guys will do better next time, we continue the hard work to improve!
