The “Running 1900” was held in Cornellà and was organized by RCD Espanyol at the 15th of November. The boys of SOCCER Stages don’t wanted to miss this run.
RCD Espanyol had a collaboration with the CA Cornellà Atlètic, the municipalities of Cornellà and El Prat de Llobregat. All of them organized the “Running 1900”, that was starting from the CC Splau and the Power8 Stadium and ended at the pitch. That was a very special moment for all participants.
The running games were open to everyone, don’t matter which age or sex they were. The organization did focus at different distances and categories. The 5 and 10km run took place at 10am. The run for children began at 11:30. Up to 6 years, there was a run of 500 meters. The 1,000 meters run were for children between the 7 and 9 years old and 2,000 meters run for boys and girls between 10 and 14 years old.
Some boys of WOSPAC participated in the last run (2000 meters). The boys of WOSPAC wanted to test their fitness. Also it was a completely different Sunday for them and they learned about other athletes, who wanted to be part of this initiative. The 20 players of our SOCCER Stages program were encouraged to participate. The big surprise: Zhou Jinglong, he managed to climb the podium in second place. Congratulations, an Amazing job!
In addition to his victory, Jinglong and his Chinese friends who participated in the, received a ticket for a game of La Liga. They also received an energy drink and fruit pieces to regain their strength. A great experience for all boys of WOSPAC SOCCER Stages. We hope to repeat it next year!
