Good news for the Handball Club Gava and WOSPAC because for the first time in the club history, the Catalan national team has called 6 players.
Although this is a selection process to prepare the Championship of Spain of autonomous regions to be held in Almeria from 2 to January 7, 2016, it is undoubtedly a sign of the potential of our sports partner in Handball.
The Club Handball Gava has worked to get good results. The time has come, but the road has not been easy: “A year ago the club embarked on a risky adventure encouraging Handball with the youngest, boosting the base. Watched from a distance, this strategy gives us very positive results like keeping our players in different categories or the first team playing in the state league. This project had a big support a huge social mass, which has made easy what at first seemed difficult”, they have told us from the Communications Department.
Now we can say that these results have already arrived with 5 players from the junior category and 1 player in the cadet category being called by the coaches of the Catalan Handball Federation.
This call is a single acknowledgment of a collective work of all the colleagues who through hard work and sacrifice have boosted these young players to this individual recognition, and they have opened the doors to this new and enriching experience.
The club feels lucky and privileged and WOSPAC reinforces the collaborative partnership in a sport which in less than a year became a new sport at WOSPAC. We will follow every one of these players, now they should enjoy!
